D-Day New ForestDiscover the crucial role the New Forest played in preparation for the 6th June 1944. Featuring historic photos and oral history from local residents.

 

Got Any Gum Chum: The US Army in Southampton during WW2. Hear oral history accounts given by Southampton residents about their experiences of the friendly invasion, and learn about the troops and their time in the city. Historic photos bring this tale to life. 

 

VE Day in Hampshire: A reflection of the significance of VE day 8th May, 1945, and how it was celebrated across Hampshire with archive images and oral history. 

 

New Forest Archaeology & HistoryTime travel through 10,000 years of human life and see how the New Forest evolved through prehistory to a royal hunting ground, a centre for Tudor Shipbuilding, a military training area and finally a National Park.
